Tucked away in the Appalachian hills of northern West Virginia, Prabhupada’s Palace of Gold was originally designed in 1973 as a simple home for A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of the Hare Krishna movement. Following his passing in 1977, the community transformed the project into an incredibly ornate memorial.
